Auke Bleji and his team pioneered a "biorecpetive" concrete, which allows for abundant moss growth. As an alternative to roots, moss has rhizoids which make it non-invasive to buildings, while benefits the urban environments it lives in. One of mosses main benefits is its ability to convert CO2 to oxygen and absorb and remove other pollutants from both water and air. Not only does it look great, but it is graffiti resistant to keep the beauty intact.
