Mozambique Welcomes White Rhinos After 40 Years of Extinction
After being extinct in Mozambique in South Africa, white Rhinos have officially returned to the area. 19 rhinos have traveled 1,600 km on a truck over several days. They were finally reintroduced in Zinave National Park, making this journey the longest-ever translocation by road of rhinos ever. The Peace Parks Foundation (PPF) conservation group plans to relocate 40 rhinos to Mozambique over the next two years.
