Kuwait is transforming its ‘tire graveyard’ into a new smart city
For seventeen years, the tire graveyard has been accumulating almost 43 million tires that have been dumped on the Kuwait sands. However, this month, the tires were finally moved to their new home of al-Salmi, near the Saudi border. The tires will now be recycled for other uses, like playground tiles.
