'Just floored': Woman finally meets bone marrow donor who saved her life
A transplant recipient and donor met for the first time after Gage Tappe donated his bone marrow to help save Tia Jensen's life. After Jensen was diagnosed with leukemia, she started chemotherapy at the Seattle Cancer Center Alliance. However, she was also needed a bone marrow transplant, so she joined the waiting list and awaited news of a match.
When Tappe was going through a rough time in his life coping with depression, he decided to join the National Bone Marrow Donor Program. This gave his life worth by helping save a life, ultimately saving his own life from continuing down this spiral. Read more about this life saving story below.
