In St. Paul, Minnesotra, the Capitals pee wee team was going for the district title this year. Own Nei, 13-year olf player, was a highly valued team member. Diagnosed with hydrocephalus and Goldenhar syndrome, he has persevered through more than a dozen surgeries, playing hockey far longer than anyone could have imagined. Unfortunately, Own cannot move forward with hockey due to his condition. For his last game, his parents organized a huge celebration with “O-Dawg” signs and a boisterous pre-game introduction to make his feel special.
