On Wednesday, the Biden administration announced that it has started the process to designate the Hudson Canyon. This underwater canyon about 100 miles off the coast of New York and New Jersey will soon be a marine sanctuary. Sea turtles, deep sea corals, and sperm whales are just some of the endangered, protected, and sensitive species living in this canyon.
