A 12-year-old Boy Scout used his skills to rescue lost hiking couple and their injured dog
While on a hike in his home of Hawaii, 12 year old David King came across a couple and their dog who looked like they needed help. When he asked, they graciously accepted his help to get their injured dog back to safety. David had previously learned to create a stretcher when someone needed to be carried to safety, so he did just that. He used a tree branch and his shirt to carry the dog to safety. The group rationed their water and was able to get home to get the dog help.
